THE PLOT
Imagine a place where absolutely everything is perfect, beautiful, and safe. Everyone has their safe little house, safe little friends, and their safe little thoughts that keep them safe from all the big bad wolves in the rest of the world. Trust me, you don't need to worry about any of the typical troubles that other towns or cities have. Just ask around! Everyone will tell you how wonderful the community is, talk up the high class residential areas, and of course promote the great educational system the school has to offer. All of that is here, in the town of Caroline. Everyone is a friend here, helping out the community, constantly hosting events and enabling goodness over all in their environment. Truly, this town has never been tainted and is an example of the best.
Yes, we would all like to believe that is true, and hell some people still try to defend the town and prescribe it as something that is storybook wonderful. The truth is that nothing is perfect and although this town seems to pretend that everyone is in line and marvelous, behind every closed door lays a dysfunctional family. For starters, most of the citizens will tell you that the class differences don't make a difference to anyone in the town but once you get the gist of who you hang around, you'll realize that the people you are talking to only talk to the other people in their class. Lower class stays with the lower class, middle class generally stays with the middle class although they do seem more lenient, and upper class strictly stays within their own class. Why is this? No one really knows but it has been happening for years. Each class has their own idea of the lives that are with the other classes but very few see the truth.
The worst of it all is that no one will talk about the things that happen in the community. Oh no, of course you'll hear about the wonderful dinner party a family in the upper class had and how they even offered to invite people from all classes, you hear plenty of that. What the people really are hiding is the big news stuff. Like, did you know that there was a murder eight years ago? Or that there was a shooting at the high school six years ago? People won't talk about that stuff. For them they refuse to believe it was real but the families that were affected by it are generally still in the town. Still, the people of Caroline will tell you all of this "never happened" no matter what you might remember from the news some years ago.
Everyone is just acting their life away, living on the stage for entertainment. You never really know who you are talking to... but after all we're actors on a stage.
