CHARACTER FACTS:
Originally, Acadia lived in Poland. It wasn't until she was nine years old that she moved over to Canada. It was a difficult transition for her, one where she was home schooled for two years just so she could wrap her head around the new environment as well as take to English better than she had before. Now she speaks English fluently although there are some words which she cannot completely wrap her head around. She also speaks German.
Since she lived in Poland she's been taking music lessons. She's classically trained, and learned most of what she does on the piano. Mostly this is what she has stuck to but she also has attempted to do things such as clarinet and violin. Many people say that she is so talented with music that she should continue to pursue it but it's actually one of the last things she would ever wish to professionally pursue. It's just for her.
At the age of eighteen, Acadia wasn't graced with a lovely graduation gift, or finding a place of her own. Instead, in the month of May she was diagnosed with breast cancer. This restricted a lot of her progress as an adult. She remained living with her father for the two years of treatment she received until finally they could say that she concurred the cancer shortly after her twentieth birthday.
A lot of the time she goes unnoticed by people. Since she went through Chemo Therapy she'd made it a habit to keep her hair extremely short, but with a collection of wigs she was able to keep up an appearance that she'd have longer hair. This is part of the reason that she's often unnoticed by others with the exception of a lot of her wigs being colorful. Anyone that knew her often over looks her and needs to look twice to notice that it is actually her.
She should be living in the upper class, theoretically. But it was the choice of her to move to the middle class for the sake of keeping up with any chances of what might happen to her financially. She is still very aware that her cancer could come back, and that anything else could happen to her in the future. So, just in case she has to pay for more medical bills, ambulance rides, or all the things in between she makes sure that the house she lives in is less expensive for the sake of those within her family.
