ELIAS KELLIN KASTRA THE BASIC INFORMATION FULL NAME Elias Kellin Kastra NICKNAMES Eli, Elijah GENDER Male AGE & BIRTH twenty-four & april 12th 1987 SEXUALITY straight CLASS lower class citizen PLAYED BY Kellin Quinn THE PERSONALITY STRONG QUIET TYPE This is probably one of the most prominent features of Eli’s personality. You don’t have to be close to him in order to recognize it. One could easily sense it illuminating off of his skin, the way he almost always seems too tense in regular situations. For the most part it is rare that you will hear him speak up unless he is specifically addressed. While he was still in high school, he’d be that kid in the back that would say nothing, answer no question unless the teacher called him out where he would usually answer simply and often correct. By looking at him you know he has a lot on his mind but it would take a lot of decoding in order to actually take a look at all of these binding things. He will talk to people as long as they talk to him but it is very unlikely that he will actually stir up a conversation with some random person. This shyness in him makes him almost seem like he is arrogant, when really he just doesn’t really know what to say to people most of the time or prefers to bite his tongue from saying anything else. OPINIONATED Of course Elias is extremely quiet and you aren’t going to get a whole lot out of him even when you do talk to him but there are certain events in his life that have left an imprint, one that Eli will defend. Certain topics might come up in conversation, or even when he was in school they would turn up and Eli would raise his hand and be barely short of biting the head off of a person who disagreed with him. When he has strong feelings about something or for something he will make a big deal of it and will always show his concern. Usually it starts with someone just simply talking about something and Eli will sit back, furrow his brow and then ask something about the relevance and once a person makes their statement that is the one thing that Elias needs in order to decided if he agrees with a person or if he is ready to back up what he knows. Touchy topics usually have anything to do within violence in teenagers or anything to do with broken homes or violence in general. This among a few other things are usually what will set off his typically stable fuse. HEART BREAKER One would think with his quiet personality and strange history that Eli would be the sort of boy that you never saw with a girl, but the truth was Eli had a lot of girl friends in his past. Girls would walk up and talk to him all the time whether it was in the work field, on the streets, or if Eli chose to go out for the night. Maybe it was the strong brooding that caught girl’s attention, or the fact that they thought he was a typical bad boy. One probably for these girls is that Eli has never really been the greatest for commitment. He tries to stay with the one girl but often feels like there is nothing going for the pair in the relationship and practically lets it sit in the sun to dry out so the girl will break up with him and he could continue on doing whatever. He isn’t exactly the most graceful person to have a relationship with considering he can be harsh and cold hearted at times but this is mostly because he feels like most of his relationships are superficial, thus short lived. Girls will tell you he is generally a gentle man but towards the end of their relationship they might as well broke up a week or two before because it was just a waste of time for the both of them. FAMILY TIES & HISTORY MOTHER elen lee kastra FATHER gerard vincent kastra (missing) SIBLINGS calliope jenn kastra, nathaniel james kastra OTHER james michael royal (nathan's father) STORY If you’ve been in the community for a long time the family life of the Kastra family has been anything but hidden. In the past police were almost always at that house trying to organize any violent disruptions that were inside of the house. Most of the time it had something to do with the mother and whichever boyfriend she had at the moment but on other occasions the police would show up at the house because of something that Eli had done. Throughout his time as a teenager he was known for getting into stupid situations such as occasionally shop lifting just get a bag of chips, or beating up some kid that he didn’t get along with or being caught intoxicated on a crashed party. Most people knew about all of this stuff, and often they were able to get away with creating worse, elaborate stories on top of the ones that were already true. The house was a violent place to live and it didn’t matter which of the three Kastra siblings you were, trouble always found them if they didn’t find it first. Being the oldest of the three siblings, Eli took a lot of responsibility. He, his brother and his sister were all decently young when their father was declared as missing person, but Eli was the only one to actually have a real relationship with his father. He was around ten when his father left the house one day and never returned. People in the town have their own ideas of what happened to the man, lots assumed he needed to be out of a house full of crazy children, but back then the Kastra team had been civil, it wasn’t until afterwards that things started getting crazy. Eli would often steal things for the family that had no many rather than accept any hand outs from people in the community or even the church. It was part of the great scheme of pride that he constantly held under his belt. He had never been put into jail or had any great amounts of charges pressed against him, but that was usually because people felt pity for him. Around the time that Elena, Elias’s mother, had one boyfriend who she thought was stable was when things got out of control. He had bought them a new house, still in the lower class but it was a new house none-the-less. Constantly Elena felt like she needed to do everything for this man no matter how much he got drunk and hit her and her children around. Mostly the man would stir trouble with the youngest in the family, Nathan, and Eli would typically come around last second and try to fight back with the man. Of course, no matter how much Eli tried to defend his family, the man wouldn’t get the clue and since Elena felt like she was in constant debt to him there was absolutely nothing she would do and thus anything Elias did was practically hopeless. Other than this part of his life, Eli typically held a normal life at school, going out and being involved in a social life, attending school regularly, and doing his job in between it all. It wasn’t until his brother was arrested for the school shooting at Caroline School that Elias realized how vulnerable his family was. This took quite the toll on Elias’s life although he would put up a brick wall over the situation to anyone on the outside. He hated anyone that questioned him about it or even brought it up. It didn’t matter if you were a stranger or his best friend he just wouldn’t hear it from anyone of them and generally shut himself down around other people. No longer could he help out his little brother. When Nathan was in juvy Eli quit his job and took a spot at the local guitar shop where at the time he had no knowledge of any musical sorts. When he worked that he was practically forced to learn to play music. He started to actually practice with the instruments there when he was nineteen. It was extremely rare that he actually heard from his brother. When Nathan turned eighteen he was released and that was practically the last time Eli saw him since he was the one to pick him up. After Nathan collected a few random things, Eli was to drop him off at a bus station and since he couldn’t really say anything to stop Nathan from leaving, he let him go. After Nathan officially left the household, Eli finally went to find a house of his own to rent out and attempt to live in. He still works at that guitar shop and practices guitar when no one is in the store. In a way it has been his own personal therapy for all that had happened in his family. Anyone that got to know Eli after the situation wouldn’t even know that he had a brother unless someone else told him. That is usually how it is, especially since Eli cut off most ties with people straight out of high school and hasn’t really connected with anyone since the incident with his brother, even six years later.
