CALLIOPE. 21. INDEPENDENT. BAD ATTITUDE. HETEROSEXUAL.
Meet Calliope, the middle Kastra sibling. She's probably the most approachable of the three. She’s certainly been caught in trouble less times than the other two, but that doesn’t mean she’s not just as misbehaved as the others. Throughout middle and high school, Calliope and a large group of friends spent their nights out vandalizing the town for fun. She served as a ringleader of sorts, and she still loves to feel powerful. Very self-centered and controlling, Calliope still isn’t exactly easy to get along with.
Friends; Calliope will have two types of friends: the type that she considers inferior to herself and those she considers her equals. There will be far more of the worshipper type inferiors, who want to be friends just to avoid being enemies. A select few will be able to get close enough to her for her to actually respect them as people. These will most likely be kids she grew up with, who she’s always worked with when they were going out raising hell in Caroline. These are the people she’s not afraid to get dirty around, as she puts up a very good face of being clean and pristine around everyone else. She can be a backstabber, but these close people are the ones she would never cross, because she actually cares for them, which is more than most people can say.
Enemies; She’s a Kastra, what else is there to say? Caroline natives will have grown up hearing about her and all the mischief she got in to. If their parents had any positive influence over them, then they’d probably hate her on principle. She’s also good at betrayals, so she will have several ex-friends in this category. There’s a lot to dislike about Calliope, and these are the people that aren’t intimidated into sucking up to her.
Lovers; Calliope works as a dancer in a burlesque club just out of town, but she doesn’t get around, so to speak. She’s in a committed relationship at the moment, but that doesn’t mean she won’t have past loves in here. Also, her boyfriend right now is just a convenient thought in my mind and I don’t take him very seriously. It’d be fun to see guys trying to win her like a prize, which I don’t see her minding as long as they’re gonna treat her well. She loves being spoiled since she grew up really poor. Now she’s almost middle class, but it’s hard to stop being poor once you’re there. So she usually depends on her current beau to give her what she wants.

Clearly these two are brother and sister. Super, now that we have that out of the way, let's get on with it [:
When Calli and Elias were still in high school, Elias spent most of his time trying to get their mother's terrible boyfriend to leave Nathan alone. In between that, Elias was just as reckless as Calliope is now, except he just got caught significantly more by the police as well as physically fought with people more. Elias has always been one to attempt to talk to Calli and what not but sometimes felt like he couldn't talk to his own sister about things.
So now that they're older, I think that Elias would have lost track of his sister for the most part, and tried to let her grow up on her own. But since Nathan came back to town i imagine that he will be the one to approach Calli and tell her about the fact that he found their brother and that he thinks that they should both approach him. For the time being, i can't see the two of them ever being as close as they were when they were itty-bitty but i can see them getting along when they approach Nathan and such.
I feel like there is potential for so much more to be added, what would you like to add to it all? |

ELIAS & CALLIOPE That all sounds about right, yeah. I think she'd at least tolerate Elias, since he always did look out for her, even if she didn't always appreciate it. They're a good bit similar, or were at some point, and she'd recognize that. I don't know that she'd be as willing to be around him if he pressed the idea of seeing Nathan, though. She's interested in seeing her younger brother, yeah, but she (rightly) doesn't imagine the encounter going well. She'd probably try to avoid Elias then. However, if he dropped the Nathan thing (or after it happens, since we all know it will) I think they'd get along okay, even though there could be some awkward times between them, since she spent so much time worrying about herself and deliberately ignoring the boys. |

Definitely. I can also see after the whole Nathan thing happening Elias wanting to pay more attention to his sister and him going back to his roots where he would constantly be trying to direct her on what he thinks is the "right path" and the two of them getting in a bit of a fight over it at some point. They'd sort of have a typically brother and sister relationship but with a whole bunch of screwed up things that are sandwiched in between it all. |

ELIAS & CALLIOPE That sounds good, yes. He'd try to be the good big brother and she'd hate the idea of being controlled by anyone. I could see her acting out even more, just to resist him and show him that she's not listening, yanno? |

CALLI & NATHANSo these two are half siblings, hurdur duh. When they were younger, they didn't even act like siblings. Nathan never talked to calli(he didn't talk to anyone) and Calli basically pretended that Nathan didn't exsist. Nathan merely hated Calli because he would often get blamed for the things that she would do, and end up getting hurt because of it (black sheep much?).
When Nathan got back to Caroline, he avoided getting in touch with his sister more than he did with Elias, just generally wanting to stay out of all of that. But of course, no one can get what they want and it wouldn't be long before Calli and Elias found out about Nathan. He will not be happy when he finds out Calli is still in Caroline and even less when Elias brings her around. In no circumstance would they get along. I can see Calli maybe trying to talk to Nathan? He'd just refuse though, simply not wanting her or Elias in his life. I don't know what else. Thoughts??

NATHAN & CALLIOPE That sounds about right~ I feel like after Elias forces them to see each other, she might go back and try for a relationship with him in the hopes that she'll still have some dominance over one of her siblings, since Elias tries to make her straighten out and stuff. Does that make sense? |

CALLI & NATHANOh gosh, if Calli tried to control Nathan, he would freak out just as much as she would when Elias was trying to straighten her out. He doesn't like people trying to boss him around. He's probably going to end up punching her sometime in the future. Why do all the Kastra's feel like they need to fix other peoples lives when their own are just as horrible xD. But yes.

Alright, as I said in Elias' plotter, lower class and been in Caroline all their lives so they should know each other. And since Calliope is only a year older than Riley, I can see him being closer to her than the other Kastra siblings. Maybe growing up, Riley could have some sort of a puppy crush on Calliope and now just sees her as a friend? They could have been good friends as youngsters but now just see each other once in a while to catch up or something? add/subtract/modify. =]

RILEY & CALLIOPE WELL. I can't really see Calli having such a simple relationship with someone. If he would've had a crush on her, she would've taken advantage of that and manipulated him and tried to make him do things for her. How would he react to that? If he didn't mind, she would've continued to do it until he either got sick of it and walked away, at which point she would've started to openly hate him (because one does not simply walk away from Calliope Kastra, after all). If it did bother him, and he confronted her about it early on, she might've backed off and just let them be friends. She would've still tried to get him to go around and do the whole vandalism thing with her, but if he was against that they'd probably have very little to do with each other, honestly.
If they were just friends as kids, before she started turning into the rebellious little hellion of her middle school years and forward, they might just have a casual relationship today, but I can't see her bothering herself with him much.
So. Any ideas? |

Oooh, I like the first idea quite a bit! I think he wouldn't have seen it as being taken advantage of at the beginning, he would just be in that puppy stage love crush where he'd do anything, but when he starts seeing her for what she really is, he'd probably walk away and just stay away from her because he'll think of her in a...bad way now, so yeah, her hating on him is fine with me! =]
