Although a lot of the time he spent more money than he actually needed to, he enjoyed the Caroline Carnival and always seemed to find enough things to do for him to laugh about over the next year. Today he came to the carnival with his best friend since childhood, Vic. They were well known for being trouble-makers around Caroline. One reason being that they both lived in the lower class and had known each other since they were put into school. The other reason being that every time something happened that could be deemed devious they were typically put on blame for it… as well as being responsible for it. They weren’t “bad seeds” or anything like that but rather they got bored and sometimes the most exciting things that they could do weren’t exactly the most legal. Regardless, their friendship ran deeper than that. If there were two people you’d want to believe were friends it would be them because of how similar they seemed to be. Hell, they both even worked at the same place and had yet to get sick of the other’s company. So now, here they were at the carnival, finding their way to get tickets for rides as cheap as possible… if not free, as well as scoping out any girls that might have been around. Looking for girls in Caroline wasn’t exactly the easiest. For the most part everyone knew one another in town unless someone new came around. For another, a lot of the girls lived up in the upper class, a class which looked down on people like Elias. He was the typical poster boy for why the lower class was such a shit hole. And it was because of that Elias would enable himself to embrace exactly what people thought of the lower class because why the hell not give them a show? “Vic, bro, wait,” Elias extended his one arm to stop Vic from moving any further and gestured his head to a girl with medium blond hair that walked by in the typical summer-fair attire. He couldn’t help but laugh at her ultra-short jean shorts an shirt that revealed a good half of her stomach. “Typical,” He started spouting into laughter. There were far too many girls that looked the same here. His arm came back to his side as he was laughing, “I can’t believe how much jail bait is out this year, was our generation really this bad?” The question was actually more rhetorical since Elias felt like he already knew a response coming from Vic. Sometimes it felt like they were too connected and knew what the other was going to say before they actually said it. As they continued to walk around Elias found himself getting a little anticipated for some of the rides, “Dude, let’s go on something,” He spoke as he was looking over a few of the different rides. The sun was still up so it was easy to tell each and every one of them apart instead of mixing all the lights together. For most that might not have ever been a problem, but Elias couldn’t see very well and would never break down and get glasses if even he was being paid for it. It was in that moment that he saw the perfect ride. “That one.” The ride was called the “mega drop” where it took the people to the very top, overlooking the entire carnival and even parts of Caroline depending on which side you were sitting on. “I don’t even care, we have to go on it,” Elias started marching over to the line of people, which was fairly large but he knew that it would be worth it in the end. Hopefully Vic wouldn’t freak out too much about going on the ride. [/style]

Twelve? Ew. He didn’t ever want to associate himself with twelve year olds. Those little girls used to call to his knees when he was still in high school because they thought he was some sort of sexy “bad boy.” Now those girls would be eighteen by now, but it didn’t make Elias think any more highly of them. He hated the idea that some girls were fawning over him when they were only noticing him for his looks, or for many just to piss off their parents. There had been a few girls in the past that had done that to him and they were always the worst. “I know, bro, right? Soon we’ll be seeing that ass-i-mean-face on MTV or something,” He laughed a little to himself as they continued walking. Even when he wasn’t trying to be perverted he was completely perverted. When Vic spoke, Elias actually thought that he might have meant a real ride and then had a devious smirk when he noticed who he was looking at, “Nice,” Elias gave an appreciative nod as he watched the girl walk in the opposite direction as they were walking in, “Now if call girls were built like that with just a little sass we’d be drowning in a sea of options.” The thought of it made Elias thrilled. There weren’t enough women in this town that Elias had met that he ever felt like he could truly appreciate as woman. It was unfortunate. Then again, there weren’t a lot of woman that appreciated Elias at all. Typically, Elias wasn’t the type to get scared all too easily. He’d be looking to get into danger rather than looking to stay out of it. If there was a time where he felt weak or scared he would try to hide it, or else try to find some way to compensate for it any make it seem like he was so much braver than he really was. That was part of the reason why Elias always took the time off of work for the Caroline Carnival. There were so many rides that would feed into his need to have some sort of adrenaline rushing through him. “Alright man, let’s get in line,” A smile came across his face since Vic’s response was satisfying enough for him. There were a few girls standing in front of them building up a bunch of tension for when they’d get on the ride. One in particular seemed to be getting picked on the most over the ride. It was clear that she was being dragged onto the ride and terrified of what all was going to happen. Then Elias decided to get a little mean. His voice raised louder than it normally be in a conversation, hoping that it would reach the ears of the girls even though he was talking directly to Vic, “I heard someone died on this a few years ago,” There was a small smirk on his face as his eyes through his sun glasses watched Vic carefully hoping that he’d figure out what Elias was doing, “Blood went straight to the brain too fast from the fall.” Why was Elias doing it? He didn’t know. Personally, he just liked getting rises out of people when he could. It was the small part of him that was oblivious to people’s feelings, or rather when he chose to ignore any emotions or stress that a person might be having. Then there was an abrupt sound of screaming causing Elias to look up at the ride where all the people were falling down onto the platform. The smirk on his face was replaced with a small, queasy feeling as he imagined his own turn being taken on the ride. He could do it. It would be like nothing. [/style]
