THE RULES
First off, i know rules can seem redundant at times but they are still really important and should not be ignored. If you skim these rules without taking them into consideration it will show through with you interactions on the site and that is a problem which will be confronted. You should be aware of the rules Proboards Forums has addressed as well as these ones written for Actors specifically. Please, read them, and read them carefully before you continue on with the site.
ONE) the first and most important rule is respect. this shouldn't have to be a rule but you might be surprised. please be kind do one another at all times and do not get in a fuss over silly little things. That means there should be no cliques on the forum either. I understand there might be one person you like to role play with the most but if they are the only person you are attempting to plot with that is a problem. if you have a problem with another member, please take it up privately and not on the forum itself. That being said, be nice to the staff because they are hear to help and have no intention and will never have one to be out to get you.
TWO) we need you be be active with the site. you should be logging into all of your accounts every day but it goes beyond that. Because we don't ask much from you in a post you should still be interacting with threads, or even in the games to prove you are still around. If you are going to be gone for a period longer than a week we should probably know about it just in case. There will be an activity check every two - three months.
THREE) when you join you can sign in with any name you want but once your application is posted your name should change to your characters with the "first middle and last" all in lower cases. No nicknames should be included in the name, it needs to be the full thing. Yes, this means one character per account. With that, you should always have a signature or 160x300 avatar on your account that has an image of your character not something random.
FOUR) your characters should be dynamic and interesting, this is what the application was made for. It should almost be as if your character is a living person with many complexities. Always, the face should be someone famous and not someone completely random or your best friend on facebook. Of course twins, triplets, pregnancy, marriage, divorce, all of those fun things are allowed but please talk to the staff about it first so we can organize that in our thoughts. We don't need five sets of triplets and ten pregnant ladies wandering around the site. Because of how our application is we ask that you be careful with the amount of characters you make. All of your characters need to be active or else you will receive a warning, then they will be removed if nothing is done. If you have made three characters, their post counts must all add up to at least fifty (between the three) before you can make another character.
FIVE) this is a maturely rated forum, meaning that we are aware that there is sex, drugs, alcohol, swearing the works. Obviously and realistically your character(s) will get involved with these things but you will not actually post the use of these things in detail. Please do not over use cursing except when it is relevant to your character. Out of character i'm sure you can bite your tongue. If your character have sex, please fade it out and move onto the next faze of the post, same goes with intense use of drugs.
SIX) you should be aware of the main posting rules, such as no god modeling, power playing, mary-sue or gary-sue characters. Be willing to compromise with your role playing friends because then everyone will generally be satisfied. there is no magic or supernatural elements in this forum. No one has powers, no one can fly, or read minds or do any of those sorts of things. Please be well aware of this because all the characters are just regular human beings in the town of Caroline.
SEVEN) we are an intermediate website, meaning that there is a word count and it should be stuck to for the most part. Each post should be at least three hundred fifty words. Be fair with the people you are role playing with, give them something to work with and you generally will get the same in return.
