I SAID I'D NEVER LET YOU GO & I NEVER DID Now that winter had come and snow had blessed the ground, Gabriel found himself latching onto whatever else the town of Caroline wanted him to work on. Working for the town meant cleaning out snowdrifts, shoveling public walks, and setting up the festival of lights. Because of his experience with the construction work, he was asked to get all the pieces that were hidden in storage and bring them out to the park so that other workers could put them together and electricians could makes sure that everything would run efficiently, as well as to make sure that there weren’t people like Gabriel attempting a job they probably shouldn’t be getting their nose into. All this was fine by him. If anything, he preferred staying away from the electrical stuff. He always had this strange fear, that since it was winter, somehow the moisture would get inside of his gloves or shoes and he’d be near the electrical wires and somehow he would explode. It’s a ridiculous thought, and completely unrealistic, yet it was still an image that Gabriel had run through his mind multiple times as he delivered the different pieces of framing to set up everything. Now that it was all done, he could finally be at peace… until it had to come down.
The lights finally being set up allowed Gabriel to have a few days for him to lay in bed and look at the ceiling. Literally. This is all he did for at least two days straight, listening to music, only getting up to get the door for his take out food, watching cartoons, and his favorite cooking channel. Then he’d get hungry and call take out again unless he found some chips hidden behind things in his house. It was the perfect time for him to spend just vegging out.
After a while it was time for him to get off of his ass and do something. So what does he do? He decided to go to the very thing he built to see its final product. He walked through the entrance of lights that said, “Joy to the World” and smiled. His eyes danced down to the lights reflecting off of the kids playing around in the snow. Joy to the world, indeed.
His eyes wandered to the rest of the structure, just to take it all in before he started to walk into the rest of it. There were people bundled up with their families, drinking hot chocolate. That was a thought that Gabriel had pop into his mind. As someone walked by him he had the sudden sense of wafting, steam of chocolate hit him. That’s what he was going to do next.
Gabriel took a few steps down the hill towards and right as he took a final step right at the base of the hill, his shoes slipped from beneath him and he flew backwards onto his back and into the snow.

And through the rising and falling apart, We discover who we are Adeline Young had to admit, she hated snow. It was ironic, for someone who was originally a russian (not that anyone knew that) and thus should be used to snow, plus having lived in Caroline for most of her life, snow should be something that was part of her annual calendar. They had snow every fucking year. But Zee just wasn't for snow. It was cold and wet, and blargh and just no. Touching it froze your fingers off, made them wet, and she just wouldn't do it. Nu-uh. All those people in snowball fights, making snowmans, she just didn't get it. What did they expect, that it would come alive like damn 'Frosty the Snowman'? But then again, she would not go and ruin the Christmas joy for strangers, so well hit it with a hallelujah, the young woman was keeping her mouth shut. As difficult as it obviously was. The blonde always struggled to move herself through the snow, always slipping and sliding away, falling on her fucking face (which was never good for her mood). But then again, Zz might also be the only fool who continiously tries to stroll around in high heels when there's snow, that's just a recipe for disaster. But no, stubborn as Addie is, she thinks she can manage. She's a musician anyways, so fuck the police.
As the girl strolled through the streets (more like ice-skating, but pfft, details), a burning cigarette between her ice-cold fingers, she looked from window to window and lane to lane, and saw everyone getting ready for Christmas. Another reason why Adeline did not like snow and winter; it contained Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year, and though she usually celebrated her birthday with friends, everyone celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas with their family, which Addie didn't have. Not anymore. Her eyes glid over the empty, big house of Roger Young, what her house had been for so long, and grudge and anger took over as it usually did with the tempered young woman. She just didn't think it was fair that he had punished her for only doing what she could. She had given up her future to nurse her own foster mom, while he had continued to screw around with his secretaries and earn millions of dollars. And had blamed her when things couldn't be fixed. But the blonde did not allow herself to ponder too long about those dark things that were now in the past. She was happy, sorta, about as happy as one without any family and a decent place to live and future perspectives could be.
But she was not looking forward to having to entertain all these rich people during the festival. Ofcourse, her band was lucky they were allowed to play for even the short amount of stage time they had, but well, all these rich people. Addie had never really liked them and their snotty behaviour, the way they stuck their noses in the air and were all about pride and prejudice. Zee was not as judging, and she could not understand people that were. She was just easily annoyed, she couldn't help it. But as she continued waking towards the place where her band would be soundchecking, the girl slipped over some idiot lying in the snow. "Eбать- Oh, fuck!" The girl grumbled, quickly trying to cover up her russian curseword. Looking down, she saw who she had just nearly tripped over, and a small grin glid up the girl's red lips. "Gabe! What the flying fuck are you doing down there!" Zee chuckled a little, picking up some snow to throw at him. It wasn't as if she was ever going to admit it, but Addie had a slight crush on mr. Munroe. It was the only reason why she was picking up snow, obviously. She would usually rather die than touch that substance of Satan. TAG: GABE | WORDS: 648| OUTFIT here

I SAID I'D NEVER LET YOU GO & I NEVER DID Moments after Gabriel hit the ground he heard the sound of someone cursing right by him. "Damn," he thought, "I would be the one to take someone down with me." Gabriel lifted himself up, strain in his lower back. This was the last thing he needed. As if he didn't tire himself out enough form all of the construction work he did, now he was trying to kill himself on the slop of ice. His eyes refocused to the world around him, and he realized that he had heard that cursing, meaning that there was actually a person around him, "Sorry," He spoke sheepishly. He couldn't actually be certain that whoever he had destroyed their life with him even heard is quiet, sad, apology.
When he heard his familiar nickname, he jumped a little, turning his back so his eyes could fixate on the voice. He would also run into someone he knew as well. Pain struck up his spine, his body still tingling from the fall. He imagined it would take a little bit if a walk to get his butt un-sore.
His eyes finally focused on the figure, "Adeline," he smiled at the realization. His arms reached up to his head to scratch it as he if he was itchy. ""Well, you see there was this ice and i sort of slipped on it and gravity couldn't handle me staying on my feet…." he trailed off of his half ass excuse for his current situation. Shaking his head, he brought himself to get up off of the ground, while simultaneously he would brush off the snow that gathered on his clothing.
Gabriel hadn't known this girl for all too long but there was some pull on her that was evident from the very first time she spoke. Typically, Gabriel didn't find himself around someone that was so foreword, but then again everyone had their own quirks and Gabriel was a little too friendly with everyone for him not to converse with her. "What are you doing here, anyways?" For some reason he hadn't expected to see Adeline outside of all people. He didn't know why he didn't think such, probably because he was simply in his own mind appreciating the only beautiful aspect of winter.
