Hello everyone! By now i'm sure you guys know that Proboards is switching over to version five now. I'm not sure how quickly it will change since before it said after May 31st it should be switched to v5. Of course, there is an option where i could make our site remain as a v4 for a year. I've contemplated this for a long while, since i obviously have not gone out of my way to make the full transition. It's really difficult to make the full transition on my own because learning v5 on top of other things i am doing is sort of hell in comparison to how much i've learned on proboards for the last eight years of my life. But, if tomorrow we are switched over to v5, be prepared for it to get a little bit messy. I will be trying my best to convert everything.
The first thing you'll notice to change are your templates. If you have used any proboards enhanced coding, it will look different, especially if it isn't formatted to v5. If you didn't know, v5 automatically holds these codes instead of it being a hack into the site. If you are used to using [atrb] codes, they will not show up. Instead everything will be dictated by table styles. Caution doesn't seem to have a lot of v5 friendly templates, which is fine if you make them yourself but there are other forums that do offer resources for v5 if you look for them. Please, if you are interested in getting to know proboards in it's new self check out the proboards forum help guide. I've been working my way through it as an admin to get the site through.
Now, this is a warning that if tomorrow we aren't switched from v4 to v5 i will in fact be making the switch manually myself. It's probably easier if we just rip off the band aid and get used to the new stuff since it's what we will now be working with. So get ready guys! Because the site will be looking a little different!

Just an update! Our site is currently on a queue to be upgraded to v5. That means that soon we should be looking quite different on here. I, once again, apologize for the mess at first. I ask that anyone that knows that their code is not compatible with the v5 in things such as thread templates, please update them with the table styles. it helps me out a lot because i am doing everything on my own and this change is actually a lot of work for a single person. So thank you to every one that has either already gotten used to v5 coding and has used it instead anyways, or else goes and changes their code. It means a lot to me!
Also, if everyone could add in their avatars (if you don't have them already) that'd be great! it's just because they have ridiculous looking avatars in the v5 and i know that i can disable them but it will take me a while to get used to finding everything out. Since having an avatar a width of 160px is already a requirement anyways it shouldn't be too much of a thing, i hope :3
